Machado & Sons Agents & Stevedores Pvt. Ltd. was founded by an outstanding personality of vision and an untiring spirit, Mr Froilano Machado.

Machado & Sons Agents & Stevedores Pvt. Ltd. emerged as a proprietary concern in 1962, primarily engaged in Stevedoring and Agency work. It became a Private Limited Company in 1970 with the company’s founder Froilano Machado as its chairman.

Although iron ore stevedoring was the major activity and revenue component of the company prior to 1971, the company had anticipated that the introduction of a mechanized ore handling plant at Mormugao Port would change the needs of the iron ore exporters and Machado & Sons ventured into processing of R.O.M extraction and handling, cargo transportation, custom and port documentation, ship agency, thus adding value to their client’s operations.

Today, the company has chosen to focus on the four main areas of Stevedoring, Vessel Agency, Cargo Handling and Transportation, R.O.M. Extraction and Handling.

Leveraging our strengths in each of these services has enabled Machado & Sons to better anticipate and service our client’s requirements.
