The Ramasubban group was founded by late Sri.S.Ramasubban in 1957 mainly supplying provisions to all the then united Yugoslavian vessels arriving at Madras Port. We still maintain the same cordial business relation by supplying the present Slovenian & Croatian owned vessels. In 1963 the group had absorbed K.Damodaran & Company, a company listed by the Madras Dock Labour Board, licensed by the Chennai Port Trust to supply labour for maintenance works and diversified into the activities of Chipping, Painting, Tank, Cargo holds cleaning on board the vessels of Foreign & Indian owned.

The company has modernized the manual chipping works by doing sand/quartz blasting, pneumatic chipping, airless painting of main decks, holds, tanks etc with latest equipments since 1989. Servicing of life rafts, fire extinguishers refilling of all gases, rewinding of motors, laundry, upholstery works were also under taken for the past two decades.

Sri.R.Krishnamoorthy, the Present head of the group took over the charge in 1967 after the demise of the founder Sri.S.Ramasubban, and diversified into supply of all deck, engine, saloon, LSA/FFA stores to the vessels. The company has spread its wings to other ports in 1975 by opening own branches all over the major Indian Ports and working arrangements in minor Ports. We are specialize in supplying dunnage & lashing materials for loading granite cargoes. We stock all sizes of shoring woods which enable us to supply at shortest notice. Our main motto is customer satisfaction and personalized round the clock service which we maintain for the last 43 years. The said good will that has now been passed on to Mr.K.Rakesh, the son of our chairman, the third generation, who joined our group recently.
