ANCHOR & CHAIN

Stockless Anchor holding-power-to-weight ratio is significantly lower than admiralty pattern anchors, their ease of handling and stowage aboard large ships leads to almost universal adoption. In contrast to the elaborate stowage procedures for earlier anchors, stockless anchors are simply hauled up until they rest with the shank inside the hawse pipes, and the flukes against the hull (or inside a recess in the hull). While there are numerous variations, stockless anchors consist of a set of heavy flukes connected by a pivot or ball and socket joint to a shank. Cast into the crown of the anchor is a set of tripping palms, projections that drag on the bottom, forcing the main flukes to dig in. Until now, there are many different types of stockless anchor in the market, United States Navy (USN) type, Japan (JIS) type, Hall type, AC-14 type, Speck type, Byre type, etc. Kenter Shackles and Joining Shackles are made to join two lengths of chains and fit in the chain wheel. The Swivel Shackle has the same function but it is often working for turning direction.

They are used as connecting links in all manners of rigging systems, boats, ships, industrial crane riggings. The stud link and studless link are available in our categories. They are often ordered by ship owners together with end shackles, swivel shackles, etc. The often used length is 27.5mtrs each, a standard for anchor chain of commercial vessels. Finish treatment: self-color, black tarred, hot dip galvanized and electro galvanized. Grade: U2, U3. ANCHOR & CHAIN Certificate: ABS, BV, LR, GL, DNV, RS, NK, CCS etc.
