Having worked as technical superintendents for close to a decade, we found that two things we all wished for was more time and a technically competent assistant . More time to do better technical analysis, time to review drawings, look for better quality spares, think of retrofit solutions within our budgets, troubleshoot issues with the vessel, review offers for suitability and so on, all with the sole aim of giving the best to the vessels under our care. But, the reality was always different, and there were many days where you wished that you had a trust worthy aide, with domain expertise, to whom you can drop a mail, discuss issues and and then get all the work done for you, and all you need to do- is to make a decision based on their feedback. • Study technical drawings and look for best and most economical retrofit when spares are not available or obsolete.
• Undertake or assist with major repairs, including preparation of class documents, P&I reports , budget submissions.
• Review vessel dry dock specs and work with you and the vessel and eliminate additional jobs and budget escalations.
• Undertake complete docking projects- commencing with early engagement with the vessel, right up to sea trials followed by complete submission of reports.
